A notable figure in the Gujarat judiciary, Justice J. C. Doshi's career is marked by a commitment to legal excellence since 2023.

Born on June 30, 1969, into a family of lawyers in Junagadh, Justice Doshi completed his graduation in Business Administration and obtained a B.B.A. degree. He also completed his law graduation and obtained an LL.B. degree, both from Saurashtra University. After enrolling as an advocate with the Bar Council of Gujarat in 1997, he joined the chamber of his father, the late Mr. C.B. Doshi, and began practicing at the District Court, Junagadh.

Justice Doshi was appointed a master trainer for the e-court project of the Supreme Court of India, where he trained judicial officers on the District Co-ordinate Information System (DCIS). He participated in various programs organized by the e-committee of the Supreme Court of India. Directly selected into the cadre of District Judge, he joined the judiciary on July 7, 2011, as a Judge in the City Civil and Sessions Court, Ahmedabad. He then served in Patan District, initially as Additional District Judge, and later as Principal District and Session Judge. He also served as Principal District and Sessions Judge in Vadodara and Sabarkantha before being appointed Director of the Gujarat State Judicial Academy in 2020. Prior to his elevation, he served as Principal District and Sessions Judge at Panchmahal @ Godhra.
