Justice Singh was appointed as a Judge of the Patna High Court on April 12, 1973. His dedication and expertise led to his appointment as the Acting Chief Justice of the Patna High Court in 1991. Subsequently, on February 4, 1992, he assumed the role of Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court.
