Justice A.K. Pathak was born on July 11th, 1957. After obtaining a B.Sc. and L.L.B., he enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi in 1980 and practiced in the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, MRTP Commission, and other forums from 1980 to 1995. During 1994-1995, he served on the panel of Delhi Electricity Supply Undertakings and the Government of NCT, Delhi, handling their cases in the Delhi High Court.
He joined the Delhi Higher Judicial Service on March 9th, 1995. From April 2000 to January 2001, he worked as Presiding Officer, Debts Recovery Tribunal-I, Delhi. He also served as Presiding Officer, Employees Provident Fund Appellate Tribunal from November 2004 to November 2005. From February 28th, 2006 to January 6th, 2007, he was Registrar General of the Delhi High Court.
Justice Pathak was appointed as an Additional Judge of the Delhi High Court on May 14th, 2009, and became a Permanent Judge on September 5th, 2013. He retired on July 10th, 2019.
