Hon'ble Dr. Justice Pushpendra Singh Bhati of the Rajasthan High Court, born on September 21, 1970, is a distinguished jurist known for his extensive academic background, diverse legal expertise, and multifaceted interests.
Dr. Justice Bhati's academic credentials include a BA, LL.B., LL.M. in Mercantile Law, and a Ph.D. His doctoral research focused on “Promotion & Seniority in Public Employment, its Changing Dimensions and Role of Supreme Court.” He enrolled as an advocate in 1992 and has since built a robust legal practice.
His professional expertise spans Writ Jurisdiction (Service & Misc. both), Revenue, Election, Mining, Education, Panchayati Raj, Criminal matters, and Public Interest Litigation. He has practiced extensively in the Rajasthan High Court, Jodhpur, handling a wide array of cases across these domains.
Dr. Justice Bhati served as Additional Advocate General for the Rajasthan High Court, Jodhpur, from 2008 to 2008 and again from 2014 until his elevation. He has also been a Panel Lawyer for Kendriya Vidhyalaya Sangthan, OIL & Natural Gas Corporation, Labour Department (Govt. of Raj.), and Ayurved Department (Govt. of Raj.). Additionally, he has represented Reserve Bank of India, Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur, and numerous other organizations. Notably, he was Standing Counsel for Indian Railways for 16 years.
Elected as a Member of the Bar Council of Rajasthan from 2009-2015, Dr. Justice Bhati also served as President of the Raj. High Court Lawyers Association from 2011-2013 and as General Secretary of the Raj. High Court Advocates Association in 2001. He is a trained mediator of the Raj. High Court and has been a Visiting Faculty at the Faculty of Law, Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur, for 19 years and at National Law University, Jodhpur, for one year. He is a Member of the Executive Committee of the Indian Law Institute (Raj. Chapter) and a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association since 1992.
Dr. Justice Bhati was elevated to the position of Judge on November 16, 2016, bringing his wealth of experience and expertise to the Rajasthan High Court, Jaipur.
Beyond his legal achievements, Dr. Justice Bhati is an accomplished horse rider, swimmer, shooter, solo glider pilot, and para sailor. He has actively participated in adventurous activities with NCC, holding A, B, & C Certificates. He has also participated in numerous National Conferences and Television debates, addressing critical issues in the Administration of Justice. He served as Vice President of the Students Union, Law Faculty, JNV University in 1990-91.
