A distinguished advocate and judge, Justice G. S. Sistani's career is marked by his extensive practice in commercial, civil, and constitutional law, followed by a dedicated tenure on the bench.

Born on March 11th, 1958, Justice G. S. Sistani attended Frank Anthony Public School, New Delhi, and graduated from Hindu College, Delhi University in 1979. He obtained his L.L.B. degree in 1982 and was enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Delhi that same year.

Justice Sistani began his legal career with Kaura & Company Advocates before joining his father, S.N.S. Sistani, a Senior Advocate. His practice in the Delhi High Court focused on commercial, civil, writ, original, and companies jurisdiction, extending to the Supreme Court of India. He also appeared before the MRTP Commission, Debt Recovery Tribunal, and Arbitrators, handling cases related to constitutional, banking, finance, excise, MRTP, real estate, administration, corporate, commercial service, and more.

He served as Advocate for the Delhi Government and as Standing Counsel for Punjab & Sind Bank, representing various private and nationalized banks, public sector undertakings, and multinational companies. Additionally, Justice Sistani was appointed as Amicus Curiae in several cases by the High Court and appeared in cases entrusted by the Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee.

Appointed as an Additional Judge of the High Court of Delhi on May 29, 2006, he was confirmed on August 29, 2007, and retired on March 10, 2020.
