Justice Jain's academic foundation was laid in Mumbai, where he completed his schooling and earned a B.Com. from Jai Hind College. His pursuit of legal knowledge led him to Government Law College, where he obtained his LL.B. degree. Demonstrating exceptional aptitude, he qualified as a Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, and completed the Company Secretary (Intermediate) course. Notably, he secured 34th rank at the I.C.W.A. final exam and achieved the highest marks in Interpretation of Statutes during his 3rd year law examination.
Since 1997, Justice Jain has been engaged in Counsel Practice, initially under the guidance of Shri. Rafique Dada, Senior Advocate. His practice spans a broad spectrum of legal domains, including Direct and Indirect Taxes, Fiscal, Economic, Corporate, and Constitutional Laws. His representation extends to the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, the Hon'ble Bombay High Court and its Benches, as well as various High Courts across the country. He has also appeared before Direct & Indirect Tax Tribunals, Advance Ruling Authorities, and in arbitrations.
Beyond his legal practice, Justice Jain has contributed significantly to legal education and scholarship. He has taught taxation laws to students pursuing Cost Accountancy and Chartered Accountancy courses. Furthermore, he has authored articles in newspapers and magazines on fiscal and economic laws, and delivered lectures at seminars, focusing on simplifying these complex areas for Chartered Accountants, students, and the general public. He has also contributed to research papers and authored a book on the Maharashtra Protection of Interest of Depositors Act (MPID) Act.
