Hon'ble Mr. Justice Kuldeep Mathur, a distinguished member of the Rajasthan High Court, brings to the bench a wealth of experience gained over nearly three decades of legal practice. His career has been marked by a commitment to justice, a deep understanding of various legal domains, and active participation in bar associations.
Born on December 10, 1970, Justice Mathur completed his B.A. and LL.B. degrees, setting the stage for a successful legal career.
Justice Mathur enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Rajasthan in 1993. Since then, he has practiced extensively in the Rajasthan High Court, Jodhpur, as well as in various Tribunals and other Judicial Forums within the State of Rajasthan. He was conferred the distinction of Senior Advocate by the Hon’ble High Court of Rajasthan.
Throughout his career, Justice Mathur has practiced in diverse areas of law, including Constitutional Law, Service & Industrial Laws, Company & Insurance Law, Municipal & Panchayat Laws, Electricity & Agrarian Laws, Contractual, Banking, Infrastructure, Corporate, and Arbitration Laws, as well as matters of Civil and Criminal nature. He has also spearheaded various Public Interest Litigations on a pro bono basis and assisted the Hon’ble High Court in matters of larger public importance as Amicus Curiae.
In addition to his private clientele, Justice Mathur has represented the Union of India, various Semi-Government & private organizations, and institutions as their Standing Counsel. He served as Central Government Counsel from December 2004 to December 2014. He has also represented ‘Rajasthan High Court’ before the Hon’ble High Court as a Panel Lawyer and has been a Panel Lawyer for the Ayurved Department & Labour Department, various Educational institutions, and Universities for the State of Rajasthan. Furthermore, he has represented the National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE) and the Indian Institute of Management, Udaipur, as well as Electricity Companies of the State of Rajasthan and Insurance Companies like National Insurance Company Ltd. & IFFCO Tokio General Insurance Company.
An active member of the Bar, Justice Mathur was elected as General Secretary of the Rajasthan High Court Advocates’ Association. In 2015, he was unanimously elected as the President of the Rajasthan High Court Lawyers’ Association and represented the Bar in that capacity. He also led the Law Society Rajasthan, Jodhpur, as Convener and is an active Member of The Indian Law Institute, Rajasthan Chapter.
Justice Mathur was elevated as a Judge of the Rajasthan High Court on June 6, 2022, bringing his extensive experience and commitment to justice to the bench.
