Born on April 7, 1966, Justice S. C. More's academic journey began at Pethe High School, Nashik, followed by graduation in Science from R. Y. K. College of Science, Nashik, under Pune University. He then pursued law at N.B.T. Law College, Nashik, and later completed a Diploma course in Cyber Crimes at Government Law College, Mumbai, demonstrating his commitment to continuous learning and adaptation to evolving legal challenges.
Justice More started his legal practice in the Nashik District Court and various Mofussil Courts, handling Civil, Criminal, and Revenue cases. His diverse practice provided him with a broad understanding of the legal system and the intricacies of different types of cases.
In 2008, Justice More was selected as a direct District Judge and initially posted at Bhandara as District Judge-1. Subsequently, he was transferred to the Small Causes Court in Mumbai as an Additional Chief Judge in 2011. In 2012, he served as a City Civil Judge and Additional Sessions Judge at the City Civil Court Mumbai in Dindoshi. His career progression reflects his competence and dedication to the judiciary.
Justice More's career also includes serving as District Judge-1 and Additional Sessions Judge at Bhusawal and as Principal District Judge in Yeotmal. He was also appointed as the 1st Additional Principal Judge at the City Civil Court Mumbai in Dindoshi and as Chief Judge of the Small Causes Court, Mumbai. Prior to his elevation, he served as Principal District Judge in Nagpur, starting on July 1, 2021.
Beyond his legal career, Justice More is a sports enthusiast with a keen interest in cricket, having represented Science College in intercollegiate tournaments. Justice S. C. More was elevated as an Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court on October 21, 2021, marking a significant milestone in his distinguished legal career.
