Born on 4th June 1976 at Mumbai. His father Late Shri Jitendra C. Shelat was a Judicial Officer. Did B.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry from M. G. Science College, Ahmedabad in 1996. He enrolled in LL.B. in Shri I. M. Nanvati Law College and obtained degree of law from Gujarat University in 1999. He started practice in Gujarat High Court and initially joined office of Shri K. V. Shelat, Advocate and later on joined office of Shri Gautam M. Joshi, Senior Advocate. He appeared in variety of cases in different fields of law i.e. Civil Law, Criminal Law, Service Law, MACT Appeal matters, Arbitration Matters and Writ matters. During the practice, he was empaneled on various general insurance companies and also appeared for finance and other companies like Oriental Insurance Company Ltd., National Insurance Company Ltd., United India Insurance Company Ltd., New India Insurance Company Ltd., Bajaj Alliance Insurance Company Ltd., HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company Ltd., TATA AIG General Insurance Company Ltd., Reliance General Insurance Company Ltd., Life Insurance Corporation of India and GIIC Re and Industrial Finance Corporation of India (IFCI) till elevation. He also appeared before Gujarat State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission, Ahmedabad on its original and appellate side. The core area of his practice is MACT appeal matters, consumer cases and arbitration matter. Elevated as Judge of High Court of Gujarat on 10.10.2024.
