A distinguished figure in the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh legal arena, Justice Moksha Khajuria Kazmi has built a reputation for excellence and commitment to justice.
Justice Moksha Khajuria Kazmi graduated with an LL.B from Jammu University in 1996 and began her practice in the J&K High Court at Jammu. She was honored with the ‘Best Advocate of the Year’ Award in 1998 by the Kashmir Law Journal.
In 1999, she moved her practice to the J&K High Court at Srinagar and served as standing counsel for various organizations, including the Medical Council of India, J&K Sports Council, J&K Power Development Department, ASCOMS, J&K State Legal Services Authority, J&K State Forest Corporation Ltd., Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPE), Metlife India Insurance Company Limited, and Islamic University of Science and Technology.
She served as a Government Advocate from 2002 to 2004 and as Additional Advocate General from 2016 to 2017. She was a Board of Directors member for the J&K State Financial Corporation, Baramulla Central Cooperative Bank, and J&K State Cooperative Bank. Justice Kazmi was designated as a Senior Advocate on December 3, 2020.
Justice Kazmi was appointed as an Additional Judge of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh on March 24, 2022, and took the oath of office on March 28, 2022. She was appointed as Judge of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh on January 22, 2024, and took the oath of office on January 29, 2024.
