Born on August 2, 1971, Justice Borkar completed his schooling in Gondia and obtained his L.L.B. from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar College of Law, Nagpur. This solid academic foundation paved the way for his successful legal career.
Justice Borkar enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa on August 8, 1995, and began his practice under the guidance of his father, Advocate Shri. R.K. Borkar. He practiced before the Hon'ble Bombay High Court, bench at Nagpur, gaining valuable experience in a variety of legal matters.
Justice Borkar's commitment to public service led to his appointment as District Judge on May 2, 2008. He served as Principal District and Sessions Judge in Nandurbar, Chandrapur, and Thane, demonstrating his leadership and judicial acumen. His career trajectory reflects his unwavering dedication to the legal profession and the administration of justice. He was elevated as Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court on 5th December, 2019 and confirmed as Permanent Judge on 1st June, 2021.
