A distinguished member of the Gujarat High Court, Justice N. S. Sanjay Gowda brings a wealth of experience from his tenure at the Karnataka High Court. His legal journey reflects a deep commitment to constitutional, administrative, and civil law.
Justice Gowda obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from St Joseph’s College of Arts and Science, Bangalore, in 1986, followed by a Law Degree from the BMS College of Law, Bangalore, in 1989. He enrolled as an Advocate on August 31, 1989, and gained experience in the chambers of Sri GS Visweswara and later with his father, Sri NS Srinivasan.
For 30 years, he practiced law in the Karnataka High Court, focusing on constitutional, administrative, service, and labor law, as well as civil matters. He represented various authorities, including Railways and KPTCL, in Civil courts and Tribunals in Bangalore.
Justice Gowda was appointed as an Additional Judge of the Karnataka High Court on November 11, 2019, and became a permanent Judge on September 8, 2021. He was then transferred to the Gujarat High Court, assuming office on June 9, 2025. He is expected to retire on February 14, 2029.
