A respected figure in the Delhi legal community, Justice R. S. Sodhi, born on November 11, 1945, has a career reflecting a deep commitment to law and justice. He graduated from Bishop Cotton School, Shimla, in 1962 and Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jallandhar, in 1969. He completed his LL.B. from Punjab University in 1972 and was enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Delhi the same year.
Justice Sodhi practiced constitutional, civil, criminal, land revenue, and excise matters in the Supreme Court of India for 25 years. He served as Advocate-on-Record in the Supreme Court of India for the State of Punjab from 1987 to 1989 and as Additional Advocate General for the State of Punjab from 1997 until July 6, 1999. He was appointed as a Judge of the Delhi High Court on July 7, 1999, and retired on November 7, 2007, after a notable tenure.
