Justice Rajesh Sekhri is a respected member of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, known for his extensive judicial experience and dedication to upholding the law.
Justice Rajesh Sekhri was born in Jammu. He completed his matriculation at Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Higher Secondary School, Rehari. He graduated from Government Gandhi Memorial, Science College, Jammu, and obtained his LLB from the Faculty of Law, University of Jammu, in 1989.
He passed the Kashmir Civil Services (Judicial) examination and joined as Munsiff in 1995. He was promoted to Sub Judge in 1998 and served as Chief Judicial Magistrate, Rajouri and Kargil. In 2008, he was promoted to District and Sessions Judge and served as Special Judge, TADA/POTA Court, Srinagar, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Anantnag and Jammu, and Principal District and Sessions Judge, Reasi, Ramban and Baramulla.
He was placed in the Selection grade w.e.f 2013 and conferred Super Time Scale in 2017. He also served as Special Judge, Anti Corruption, CBI Cases, Jammu, and Judicial Member, J&K Special Tribunal Jammu.
Justice Sekhri was elevated as Additional Judge of the High Court of J&K and Ladakh on July 27, 2022, and took the oath on July 29, 2022.
