Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw was born on August 13th, 1959, in Delhi. He completed his schooling at Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, New Delhi, passing the CBSE Examination in 1976. He then attended Hans Raj College, Delhi University, followed by an LLB from Campus Law Centre, Delhi University. He enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council of Delhi in July 1982.
Initially, he joined a solicitor's firm for three years before practicing law in the Delhi High Court and subordinate courts, primarily focusing on real estate, family, civil, and arbitration laws on the original side. He was appointed as an Additional Judge of the Delhi High Court on April 11, 2008, and became a Permanent Judge on July 6, 2011. He retired on August 12, 2021.
