Born on June 15, 1921, Justice Ram Briksha Misra had a long and accomplished legal career. He was educated at K.G. High School, Barhaj, District Deoria, D.B. Inter College, Gorakhpur, and graduated from St. Andrews College, Gorakhpur, and Allahabad University.
Justice Misra enrolled as an Advocate of the Allahabad High Court on March 26, 1946. He primarily practiced civil, revenue, and writ jurisdiction in the High Court at Allahabad. His judicial career began with his appointment as an Additional Judge of the Allahabad High Court on January 3, 1968, and he became a permanent Judge on July 23, 1969.
He was appointed as a Judge of the Supreme Court of India on January 30, 1981, where he served until his retirement on June 15, 1986.
