Born on September 23, 1952, in Shimla (H.P.), Justice Reva Khetrapal completed her schooling at the Convent of Jesus and Mary, New Delhi. She graduated from Miranda House with Honors in History and was awarded a gold medal and best student certificate from the Law Faculty, University of Delhi. She enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Delhi in 1975.
From 1975 to 1991, she practiced in the Delhi High Court and Supreme Court of India as a corporate lawyer and, for several years, as counsel for the Delhi Administration, handling a wide range of constitutional, civil, and criminal matters.
In 1991, she was appointed Additional District & Sessions Judge and was posted as Special Judge (Narcotics) in 1994. She served as Secretary of the Press Council of India in 1999, participating in numerous national and international conferences relating to the Media and the Law, and worked as an Executive Member of the World Association of Press Councils.
She was elevated to the Bench of the Delhi High Court as an Additional Judge on February 28, 2006, and retired on September 22, 2014.
