Born on November 25, 1893, in Tirunelveli, Justice Aiyyar was the son of Mahamabopadyaya Lakshmanasuri, a renowned Sanskrit Scholar. He received his education at Madras Christian College and Law College, graduating in 1916. He apprenticed under Sir Alladi Krishna Swamy Ayyar, further honing his legal skills.
Justice Aiyyar was admitted as an Advocate in 1917 and practiced law extensively. His expertise and dedication led to his appointment as a Judge of the Madras High Court on January 7, 1951, where he served until November 24, 1953.
Justice Aiyyar's career reached its zenith with his appointment as a Judge of the Supreme Court of India, where he served from January 1954 to November 1958 and again from March 1, 1961, to May 1, 1961.
