A distinguished member of the Allahabad High Court, Justice Vinod Diwakar brings extensive legal expertise to the bench.

Justice Vinod Diwakar was born and raised in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. He received his schooling from Jawahar Navodaya Vidhyalaya, Sardhna, Meerut. He graduated from Kirori Mal College, Delhi University, and later obtained his law degree from Campus Law Centre, Delhi University.

In January 2019, Justice Diwakar was appointed as Additional Advocate General, Uttar Pradesh, at the Hon'ble Supreme Court, a role he held until his elevation as Judge of the High Court. He has worked extensively for Delhi Police, Central Government (all ministries), Directorate of Enforcement (E.D.), Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO), Ministry of Cooperate Affairs, and as counsel for Hon’ble LG, Government of NCT of Delhi and Group ‘A’ Panel Advocate for Central Government in Supreme Court. Justice Diwakar also argued prominent cases as an Additional Public Prosecutor, GNCT of Delhi, in the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi. Since February 2017, he served as the Central Government Standing Counsel before the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi until his elevation.
