Justice Vipin Sanghi

Justice Vipin Sanghi, a distinguished member of the Delhi High Court, has had a prominent career marked by his contributions to civil and constitutional law. Born on October 27, 1961, in Nagpur, he moved to Delhi in 1965 and completed his schooling at Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, in 1980. He graduated with a B.Sc. in Mathematics (Hons.) from Delhi University in 1983 and obtained his LL.B. from the Law Faculty, Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi, in 1986. Enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Delhi in the same year, Justice Sanghi comes from a family of lawyers, following in the footsteps of his grandfather and father. He began his career in the office of Shri Mukul Rohatgi, Senior Advocate, and later served as a Central Government Panel Advocate and Counsel for the M.C. Jain Commission of Enquiry. He practiced in the Supreme Court of India and the Delhi High Court, specializing in civil and constitutional matters. Designated as a Senior Advocate by the Delhi High Court in December 2005, he has also attended numerous international law conferences. Justice Sanghi was appointed as an Additional Judge of the High Court of Delhi on May 29, 2006, and confirmed as a Judge on February 11, 2008. He served as Acting Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court from March 13, 2022.
