The female workers (muster roll) engaged by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi demanded maternity leave. This leave was available to regular female workers but was denied to the muster roll ... workers because their services were not regularised. The Delhi Municipal Workers Union supported their demand and referred the matter to the Industrial Tribunal for adjudication.
