Justice S. Saghir Ahmad

Justice Saiyed Saghir Ahmad was a Judge of the Supreme Court of India. Born on 1st July, 1935, he enrolled as an Advocate of the Allahabad High Court on 6th December, 1961, focusing his practice on the Civil side before the Lucknow Bench. He served as Standing Counsel for the Uttar Pradesh Government starting in 1976 and for the Northern Railway beginning in 1971.
He was appointed Additional Judge, Allahabad High Court from 2nd November, 1981, and became a permanent Judge from 30th December, 1982. Justice Ahmad was then transferred to the Jammu & Kashmir High Court on 1-11-93, where he was appointed as Chief Justice on 18-3-94. He later served as Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court starting on 23-9-94. He was appointed as Judge of the Supreme Court of India on 6-3-1995 and retired on 30-6-2000.

Justice R.P. Sethi

Justice S.N. Phukan
