A prominent figure in the Meghalaya High Court, Justice Biswadeep Bhattacharjee brings a wealth of experience from his extensive practice in civil, criminal, service, and constitutional matters.
After completing his LLB in 1993, Justice Bhattacharjee began his practice, handling a diverse range of cases including civil, criminal, service, and constitutional matters. His expertise also extended to matters under administrative justice rules. He served as a Government Advocate (P) for the High Court from April 2002 to December 2012, showcasing his commitment to public service.
Prior to his elevation, Justice Bhattacharjee held the esteemed position of Additional Advocate General, Meghalaya from September 2018. He was designated as a Senior Advocate on 24th September 2021, marking a significant milestone in his career. His journey culminated in his appointment as an Additional Judge of the High Court Of Meghalaya on 1st August 2023, followed by being sworn in as a Judge of the High Court of Meghalaya on the 31st July, 2025.
