Born on August 19, 1956, Justice Navin Sinha completed his schooling at St Xavier’s High School, Patna. He graduated from Hindu College, New Delhi, and obtained his LL.B. from Delhi University.
Justice Sinha enrolled as an Advocate on July 26, 1979, and practiced in the Patna High Court for 23 years, handling Civil, Constitutional, Labour, Service, Commercial, Company (Limited), and Criminal matters.
Justice Sinha was appointed as a Permanent Judge of the Patna High Court on February 11, 2004. He was transferred to the Chhattisgarh High Court in July 2014, where he also served as its Acting Chief Justice and later as Chief Justice. He was then sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court on May 14, 2016. Justice Sinha was elevated as Judge, Supreme Court of India on February 17, 2017.
