A distinguished jurist with roots in Rajasthan, Justice Shailendra Singh's career reflects a commitment to justice and public service.
Born in 1972 in the village of Girawari, District Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, Justice Singh received his education in government schools and colleges. He completed his LLB in 1997 at M.D.S. University, Ajmer.
From 1997 to 2003, Justice Singh practiced as an Advocate in various courts in Rajasthan, focusing mainly on civil and criminal cases. In 2003, he joined the prosecution service under the Rajasthan Government. In 2010, he entered the Bihar Superior Judicial Service, serving as Additional District & Sessions Judge in Buxar, Principal Judge in Family Court in Aurangabad and Sasaram, and Principal District and Sessions Judge in Siwan, Bhabhua at Kaimur, Gayaji, and Ara. He also served as Registrar Administration at Patna High Court and Secretary, Bihar Legislative Assembly before his elevation.
Justice Singh was elevated as a Judge at Patna High Court on June 4, 2022.
His father, Shri Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, had a distinguished judicial career under the Rajasthan High Court, serving as Principal District and Sessions Judge for over ten years and as Registrar General Vigilance.
