A respected member of the Bombay High Court, Justice Manjusha Ajay Deshpande brings extensive experience and a commitment to justice.
Born on 27 October 1968 in Aurangabad, Justice Deshpande completed her schooling at St. Francis De Sales High School, Aurangabad. She pursued a five-year law course at Manikchand Pahade Law College, Aurangabad, completing it in 1991 and achieving first rank in Marathwada University.
Enrolled in the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa on 13 September 1991, she joined the office of senior advocate late Shri.Prabhakarrao R. Deshmukh at Aurangabad. During her career, she dealt with various civil, criminal, and constitutional matters, particularly service matters. She has worked as Panel Advocate for various Government undertakings and Semi Government organizations, including Zilla Parishad Hingoli, Zilla Parishad Nanded, and Municipal Corporation Aurangabad. Appointed as an Assistant Government Pleader/Additional Public Prosecutor in the High Court Bench at Aurangabad in October 2013, she later became an Additional Government Pleader and Additional Public Prosecutor in October 2015.
Justice Deshpande has also contributed as a member of committees under the Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act and as a Trained Mediator in the Legal Aid Services Sub Committee at Aurangabad Bench. Elected as Vice President of the High Court Bar Association Bench at Aurangabad in 2009-2010, she was associated with Savli Niradhar Stree Kalyan Sanstha, an NGO for destitute women. She was elevated and appointed as an Additional Judge of Bombay High Court on 11 August 2023.
