Born on August 28, 1954, Justice Sapre enrolled as an Advocate on January 21, 1978. He practiced Civil, Constitutional, and Labour law in the High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Jabalpur.
Justice Sapre was appointed as an Additional Judge of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh on October 25, 1999, and became a Permanent Judge on October 24, 2001. He was transferred to the Rajasthan High Court, assuming charge at the Principal Seat Jodhpur on February 11, 2010. Subsequently, he was transferred to the Chhattisgarh High Court, assuming charge on April 23, 2012.
Justice Sapre served as the first Chief Justice of the High Court of Manipur, assuming charge on March 23, 2013. He was then transferred as Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court, Guwahati, assuming charge on October 19, 2013.
Justice Sapre was elevated as a Judge of the Supreme Court of India on August 13, 2014. He retired on August 27, 2019.
