Justice Ananda Sen is a respected judge at the High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi, known for his extensive legal background and commitment to upholding justice.
Born on 15th August 1969, Justice Ananda Sen is the son of late Shyamal Kumar Sen and Smt. Padma Sen. His father and grandfather were renowned lawyers in the undivided Singhbhum district, within the State of Bihar, later Jharkhand.
He completed his schooling from Assembly of God Church School in Kolkata and graduated from Kolkata University with a B.Com (Hons.) degree. He then pursued his LL.B from Chhotanagpur Law College, Ranchi (Ranchi University).
After obtaining his law degree, he joined the profession under his father in February 1996, practicing at the District Court of Chaibasa and Seraikella-Kharsawan. In October 1997, he moved to Ranchi and began practicing in the High Court of Jharkhand under the guidance of Late M.M. Banerjee, the first Advocate General of the State of Jharkhand.
He started his independent practice in October 2003, continuing until his elevation as an Additional Judge, Jharkhand High Court, Ranchi.

He was elevated as an Additional Judge of the High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi w.e.f. 08th April, 2016, and became a permanent Judge of the High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi on 09th January, 2018.
