A distinguished member of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Justice Gurvinder Singh Gill's career is marked by a commitment to justice and extensive service in both the bar and the bench.
After enrolling as an Advocate in 1987, Justice Gill practiced mainly in criminal law at the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh, for about 14 years. In 2001, he was appointed as Additional District & Sessions Judge, Punjab, and served in various capacities including at Fatehgarh Sahib and as Special Judge, CBI, Punjab at Patiala. He also served as Presiding Officer, Industrial Tribunal, Ludhiana.
Justice Gill was designated as District & Sessions Judge in 2011 and served at Fatehgarh Sahib and Rupnagar. His administrative acumen was further recognized when he was appointed as Registrar General, Punjab & Haryana High Court, in June 2013, a position he held until being sworn in as Additional Judge of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana at Chandigarh on 28th June 2017. He was appointed as a permanent Judge on 3.12.2018.
