A respected member of the Gujarat High Court, Justice Hemant M. Prachchhak brings years of legal expertise to the bench since his appointment in 2021.

Born on 4th June 1965 at Porbandar. After obtaining primary education from Taluka Primary School, Somnath at Prabhaspatan, secured Secondary & Higher Secondary education from Prabhaspatan and Veraval respectively and thereafter, Graduated in Commerce from Kalidas Haridas Madhvani College, Porbandar in the year 1988. Obtained Law Degree from Dhanjibhai D. Khotiyawala Municipal Law College at Porbandar in 1992. Started practice in the High Court of Gujarat from 28th October 1992, after getting enrolled through the Bar Council of Gujarat. Conducted matters involving issues from all categories; including Civil cases, Criminal and Motor Accident Claims. Worked as Assistant Government Pleader and Additional Public Prosecutor from 2002 to 2007. Worked as Central Government Standing Counsel for the High Court of Gujarat between 2015 and 2019. Elevated to the Bench of Gujarat High Court as a Judge with effect from 18th October 2021.
