Since her appointment on May 18, 2022, Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora has been a notable figure in the High Court of Delhi, bringing a wealth of experience from her extensive practice in civil and commercial law. Her career reflects a commitment to justice and a deep understanding of legal complexities.
Born in 1974 into a business family, Justice Arora was raised and educated in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. She completed her schooling from St. Xavier’s High School, Loyola Hall, in 1991. In 1994, she graduated from H.L. College of Commerce, Gujarat University, with a B.Com degree, and in 1997, she obtained her LL.B. degree from Sir L.A. Shah Law College, Gujarat University.
After completing her education, Justice Arora moved to Delhi and enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Delhi in 1997. She practiced as an independent litigator, regularly appearing before the High Court of Delhi. Her practice focused on civil litigation, commercial disputes, company law, and arbitrations, primarily on the original side of the High Court. She also handled matters relating to administrative law.
Justice Arora has appeared before the Supreme Court, different High Courts, National Company Law Tribunal, National Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, arbitrations, and other civil courts.
During her 25 years at the Bar, Justice Arora has been appointed as Sole Arbitrator, Amicus Curiae, and Court Commissioner by the High Court of Delhi. She has also served as an external member of the sexual harassment committees of various organizations.
