Born on June 28th, 1967, in Uttar Pradesh, Justice Vivek Agarwal has distinguished himself as a prominent figure in the judiciary. With a background in B.Sc., LL.B., and an Advance Diploma in Management, his legal expertise spans across Civil, Criminal, Constitutional, and Taxation matters at the High Court of Madhya Pradesh.
Before his elevation to the bench, Justice Agarwal practiced extensively on the Civil and Criminal sides before the District Court, Bhopal, the State Administrative Tribunal, Madhya Pradesh Arbitration Tribunal, Labour Court, Industrial Court, and the Cooperative Tribunal. His proficiency and experience led to his appointment as Government Advocate on July 16th, 2009, and later as Deputy Advocate General on August 8th, 2013, for the State of Madhya Pradesh.
Justice Agarwal also contributed to legal education as a visiting faculty member at the R.C.V.P Noronha Academy of Administration and the Institute of Cooperative Management, Bhopal, established by the Government of India. His judicial career saw him appointed as an Additional Judge of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh on April 7th, 2016, and as a Permanent Judge on March 17th, 2018. He was subsequently transferred to Allahabad High Court, taking his oath on October 17th, 2019. Following this, he returned to the High Court of Madhya Pradesh, where he took oath as a Judge on October 20th, 2021.
