A chargesheet was filed, which the High Court refused to quash. The question arose whether the chargesheet, being vague and failing to adequately establish criminal breach of trust, cheating, or criminal intimidation based on the evidence, should be set aside. Finally, the Supreme Court quashed the chargesheet and summoning order, discharging the appellants. It held that offences under Sections 406 (criminal breach of trust) and 420 (cheating) IPC were not made out as a normal sale transaction does not amount to entrustment, nor was dishonest inducement proven at the time of agreement.
