Born on September 11, 1970, in Nagpur, Justice Pitale completed his Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree at Hindu College, University of Delhi, and his LL.B. from the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. His strong academic background laid the foundation for his successful legal career.
In 1995, Justice Pitale enrolled as an Advocate and began his career in the chamber of Mr. S.G. Aney, Senior Advocate, in Nagpur. He later moved to New Delhi and worked with Mr. A.K. Sanghi, Senior Advocate at the Supreme Court, until 2001. In 2001, he started his independent practice in the Supreme Court of India, handling numerous petitions and appeals in Constitutional Law, Arbitration Law, Commercial Matters, and Civil and Criminal Cases. He also served as the "A" Panel counsel for the State of Maharashtra before the Supreme Court of India, representing the state in significant civil and criminal cases.
Justice Pitale was elevated as an Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court on June 5, 2017. His appointment reflects his extensive experience and expertise in various legal domains. He took oath as a permanent Judge of the Bombay High Court on April 12, 2019, solidifying his role in the judiciary. He is expected to continue serving until his retirement on September 10, 2032.
