A prominent figure in the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Justice Nidhi Gupta comes from a family deeply rooted in law and education. Born on July 28, 1966, she completed her schooling at Sacred Heart Convent School, Chandigarh, in 1982, followed by a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in English from Government College for Girls, Sector 11, Chandigarh, in 1986. She obtained her LL.B. from Panjab University, Chandigarh, in 1989.
Since then, she has practiced before the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Delhi High Court, and the Supreme Court of India. Since 2015, she has served as Additional Advocate General for the State of Haryana before the Supreme Court of India, representing the state's interests in significant legal matters.
Justice Gupta was elevated as an Additional Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court on August 16, 2022. She is the daughter of Late Justice Jawahar Lal Gupta, a retired Chief Justice of the High Court of Kerala and former Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, continuing a family legacy of judicial service.
