Justice Ramana's journey began with a B.Sc. and B.L. degree. He enrolled as an Advocate on February 10, 1983, setting the stage for a remarkable legal career.
He has practiced extensively in the High Court of Andhra Pradesh, Central and Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunals, and the Supreme Court of India. His expertise spans Civil, Criminal, Constitutional, Labour, Service, and Election matters. He has specialized in Constitutional, Criminal, Service, and Inter-State River laws, showcasing his versatility and depth of knowledge.
Justice Ramana has also served as Panel Counsel for various Government Organizations, Additional Standing Counsel for the Central Government, and Standing Counsel for Railways in the Central Administrative Tribunal at Hyderabad. His tenure as Additional Advocate General of Andhra Pradesh further solidified his reputation.
Justice Ramana was appointed as a permanent Judge of the Andhra Pradesh High Court on June 27, 2000. He also served as Acting Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court from March 10, 2013, to May 20, 2013.
He was elevated as the Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court effective September 2, 2013, and subsequently elevated as a Judge of the Supreme Court of India effective February 17, 2014.
