A distinguished member of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Justice Tribhuvan Dahiya was born to Mrs. Sudesh Dahiya and Dr. Bhim S. Dahiya. He graduated with distinction in Arts from CRA College, Sonepat, in 1987, and obtained his M.A. in English from Kurukshetra University in 1989. He completed his LL.B. from Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, in 1992.
Joining the Bar in 1992, he earned his LL.M. from Kurukshetra University in 1996 while practicing law. He handled administrative, civil, and criminal law cases at the Punjab and Haryana High Court and represented private and institutional clients. From 1995 to 1998 and 2004 to 2007, he served as an Additional Central Government Standing Counsel and assisted the Court as amicus curiae in important matters.
He also served as a part-time Lecturer in the Department of Laws, Panjab University, Chandigarh, from 1997 to 2000, authored articles on legal issues, and worked as a Mediator at the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Designated as Senior Advocate on 28 May 2021, he was appointed as Additional Judge on 16 August 2022, and as Judge of this Court on 28 September 2023.
