Born on June 8th, 1957, in Andhra Pradesh, Justice Rao completed his B.Com and B.L. degrees from Nagarjuna University before enrolling as an Advocate on July 29th, 1982.
Legal Career
He practiced law extensively, starting at the District Court in Guntur and later at the High Court of Andhra Pradesh, eventually moving to the Supreme Court of India in 1995. He was designated as a Senior Advocate by the Andhra Pradesh High Court in December 2000.
Additional Solicitor General
Justice Rao served as the Additional Solicitor General of India in two separate terms, first from August 2003 to May 2004, and again from August 26th, 2013, to December 18th, 2014.
