Hon'ble Mrs. Justice Rajani Dubey, born on June 30, 1964, in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, comes from a family with a strong legal background. Her father was a District Judge who retired from the High Court of Madhya Pradesh.
She graduated from Government Degree College, Mandla (Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar), and obtained her LL.B. degree from Rani Durgavati University, Jabalpur. On July 3, 1987, she enrolled as an Advocate at the Madhya Pradesh State Bar Council and practiced in the District Bar and the High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Jabalpur until May 1990, when she was selected as a Civil Judge.
Justice Dubey has served in the subordinate judiciary under various designations at different locations in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. She has also served as a Judicial Magistrate First Class, Principal Magistrate of the Juvenile Justice Board, and Additional District and Sessions Judge in Sagar, Jabalpur, and Bilaspur.
She was appointed as a Special Judge for the CBI in Raipur and as a Judge of the Family Court in Rajnandgaon. She also served as a District & Sessions Judge in Baloda-Bazar and as Registrar (Vigilance) at the High Court of Chhattisgarh, Bilaspur.
Her Lordship was elevated as a Judge of the High Court of Chhattisgarh on June 18, 2018, and took oath as a Permanent Judge on May 11, 2020.
