Justice Aniruddha Bose, a notable figure in the Indian judiciary, was born on April 11, 1959. He completed his Higher Secondary Examination from St. Lawrence High School, Kolkata, and graduated in Commerce from St. Xavier’s College in Kolkata. He obtained his LL.B. from Surendranath Law College.
In 1985, he began practicing in the Calcutta High Court, focusing on Constitutional, Civil, and Intellectual Property matters. He worked in both the Original and Appellate Sides of the High Court.
Justice Bose was elevated as a permanent Judge of the Calcutta High Court in January 2004 and subsequently became the Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court on August 11, 2018.
He was elevated as Judge of the Supreme Court of India on May 24, 2019 and retired on April 10, 2024.
