Born into a family of lawyers, Justice Pankaj Jain's career trajectory reflects a commitment to legal excellence. He graduated from DAV College, Chandigarh, in 1993 and earned an M.A. in Economics from Panjab University in 1995 with distinction. Before embarking on his legal journey, he regularly contributed as a columnist to various newspapers.
After qualifying in law from Panjab University, Chandigarh, in 1998, he joined the legal profession, practicing in the High Court of Punjab and Haryana. Enrolled with the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana in the same year, he gained experience in civil, criminal, constitutional, and labor law.
His expertise was recognized with his appointment as Senior Panel Counsel by the Government of India in 2014. He further served as Senior Standing Counsel for the Union Territory, Chandigarh, from December 27, 2018, until his elevation.
Designated as a Senior Advocate by the Punjab and Haryana High Court on May 26, 2021, Justice Jain was elevated to the Bench as an Additional Judge of the High Court on October 29, 2021, continuing his family's legacy in the legal field.
